About Rich Dana

Rich Dana is a 7X award-winning Managing Sales Broker and Realtor renowned for his experience, knowledge, honesty and straight-forward approach. Rich has an extensive 30+ year background involving the intricacies of buying, selling, investing, and multi-million-dollar sales leadership along Colorado’s front range. 

Rich has built a large inventory of industry experiences that have led to his current standing as a Managing Sales Broker and top-performing Realtor, servicing the Boulder/Denver Metropolitan area as well the surrounding communities. Prior to establishing Live West Realty, Rich began his career in 1992 with Van Schaack & Company. In 1993 Rich moved to a small residential brokerage in Boulder, where he built his first sales team, serving as the managing sales broker. Based on his performance, was later promoted to a principal owner of this real estate company. 

Fast forward to 2018, Rich decided to combine his years of sales management and track record of developing strong client relationships as a Realtor to co-found Live West Realty with his longtime business partner Kristen Teel. Since then, Rich and Kristen have grown the Live West brand, elevating it from a small firm to a team of 42 vetted Brokers that have successfully generated $2.5B in real estate sales. Here, Rich became highly respected for fostering strong team unification and as a Realtor, personally facilitating over $200M in residential sales. 

Along with this, Rich acted as a principal and managing partner in multiple real estate development projects and investment holding companies. Driven to instill positive community reform, Rich worked closely with the City of Boulder Affordable Housing Division by facilitating 50+ affordable home sales to less fortunate buyers in need. His most recent project includes the redevelopment of 3 mobile home parks in Western Colorado, working closely with the local municipality to create a safe, secure, and sustainable community for the long-time existing residents.

Originally from Tucumcari, New Mexico, in 1969 Rich moved and was raised in Boulder County. Rich earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from Chapman University in Orange, California in 1991, and has attained his Graduate Realtor Institute designation.  

Overall, Rich’s success is his sales team and clients’ success, and he prides himself on the service and support he provides to both.  When Rich is not working or supporting bigger-picture community endeavors, you can often find him skiing, hiking in the Colorado mountains, and above all, spending time with his wife Jennifer, his family and his dog Baloo.
